I have worked with HRE on an annual (sometimes bi-annual) basis for the last 5 years. This work has comprised expeditions to both Annapurna and the Everest region, lasting anywhere between 2 and 10 weeks, and including groups of participants of up to eight researchers at a time, plus staff, totaling around 12-14 people. Our biggest undertaking with HRE was the EverDrill project. The logistics for this project were exceedingly complicated, incorporating import/export of goods, road transfer of equipment, multiple helicopter charters, extended camping on the Khumbu Glacier across several different drill sites, and the ultimate decommissioning of the site and return of personnel and equipment back to Kathmandu. At every single stage of this project, HRE provided exactly what we needed, on time, and with grace.
